"Khorat Wagyu" Indulgence: Premium Beef Steaks from Sung Noen District

With increasing knowledge, Thai beef quality has significantly improved. Nakhon Ratchasima is another province actively promoting cattle farming. Each farm strives to enhance its practices, resulting in beef that gains recognition from major domestic markets, including restaurants and hotels.

One notable farm is "Ruam Ruai Korat Wagyu Farm," located in Sung Noen District, Nakhon Ratchasima. Their beef is supplied to numerous renowned hotels and restaurants. They also operate their own restaurant, "Khorat Wagyu," a must-visit destination.

Wagyu beef is known for its tenderness, aromatic grilling scent, and reasonable price, making Khorat Wagyu increasingly popular among locals and tourists.

At the "Khao Yai Food and Wine Festival Celebrating Korat GI" from February 14-16, Khorat Wagyu participated, attracting considerable attention, especially for their affordable secondary cuts.

"Natta Boonyanant," 37, the restaurant owner, explained that they specialize in Wagyu steaks and dishes, using beef from their 60-head farm, Ruam Ruai Korat Wagyu Farm. Their unique feed formula, including corn, cassava peel, molasses, bran, and beer residue, yields Wagyu with distinctive marbling and beneficial, fragrant fats.

"Our signature is the 300-baht Khorat Wagyu steak, with tenderloin at 600 baht and ribeye at 700 baht. We also offer secondary cuts like oyster blade, flank, skirt, and bavette, served with our signature dipping sauce. These cuts offer unique flavors. We also sell frozen meat from 350 baht per kilogram, supplying hotels in Bangkok and restaurants in Khao Yai."

Natta believes Thai beef has greatly improved in the last five years, thanks to university research supporting farmers in enhancing quality and market access.
