Uniting Forces for the "Khao Yai Blood Drive" Project

"Khao Yai Residents" Join Forces in Blood Donation to Support Patients in the "Khao Yai Blood Drive" Project, 1st Edition.
Ms. Phanchana Wattanasathien, President of the Khao Yai Tourism Association, revealed that the Khao Yai Tourism Association, in collaboration with Khao Yai National Park, the Pak Chong Restaurant Operators Club, the Hug Khao Yai Club, the National Blood Center Region 5 of the Thai Red Cross Society, government agencies, private sectors, entrepreneurs, and forest rangers, organized the "Khao Yai Blood Drive" project.
The event took place starting from 09:00 AM at the main auditorium of Ban Prang Khla School, Mu Si Subdistrict, Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, with medical teams from the Thai Red Cross Society. This initiative aims to ensure an adequate blood supply for emergencies and establish a blood bank to support the growing tourism sector.
A memorandum of understanding for the "Khao Yai Blood Drive" project was signed, with the Khao Yai Tourism Association, the Pak Chong Restaurant Operators Club, the Hug Khao Yai Club, and entrepreneurs, witnessed by Khao Yai National Park and the National Blood Center Region 5, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, of the Thai Red Cross Society.
This initiative encourages personnel from the national park, government agencies, private sectors, community leaders, residents, and students to participate in blood donation under the "Khao Yai Blood Drive" project, aiding patients in need of blood for treatment. The event was organized to promote sustainable tourism, with Khao Yai residents joining forces to donate blood, supporting patients requiring blood transfusions and replenishing the blood reserve for the "Khao Yai Blood Drive" project.
It is expected that the donated blood will help patients in need and foster a collective force for great merit.
For this first blood donation drive, a total of 60 units of blood were collected from 80 participants, with 20 individuals not meeting the screening criteria.
