Pure and Applied Chemistry International Conference 2025 (PACCON 2025)





Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), through the School of Science, in collaboration with the Chemical Society of Thailand under the Patronage of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana, is organizing the Pure and Applied Chemistry International Conference 2025 (PACCON 2025). The event is taking place from February 13–15, 2025, with Professor Dr. Wutichai Parasukh, President of the Chemical Society of Thailand, presiding over the opening ceremony. Associate Professor Dr. Anan Thongra-ar, President of SUT, is delivering the welcoming remarks, while Professor Dr. Santi Maensiri, Dean of the School of Science at SUT and Chairperson of the PACCON 2025 Organizing Committee, is presenting the conference report. The opening ceremony also includes a presentation of honorary plaques to distinguished speakers, award recipients from the Chemical Society of Thailand, conference hosts, and sponsors. The event is held at the Khao Yai Convention Center, Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, on February 13, 2025.
On this occasion, Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhanagraciously provided a special lecture document titled "Drug Discovery Research: Harnessing Synthetic and Natural Products Chemistry," which was presented by Professor Dr. Supa Harnnongbua during the conference.
PACCON 2025 serves as a crucial platform for scientists, researchers, academics, students, and chemistry experts worldwide to exchange knowledge and new ideas in the field of chemistry and related technologies. Under the theme "Chemistry for a Changing World," the conference emphasizes the pivotal role of chemistry in driving scientific, technological, and sustainable innovations to address the challenges of today’s rapidly evolving world, particularly in environmental, energy, and health sectors. Additionally, the conference fosters academic and research collaborations, making a significant impact on both education and industry at local and global levels.
This year, over 1,000 participants from 25 countries, including high school teachers and 50 young researchers from across Asia, are attending the event. Key activities include plenary lectures by five world-renowned experts, 120 invited speakers from leading institutions worldwide, 147 oral presentations, and 352 poster presentations. Moreover, the conference features an exhibition of groundbreaking chemical innovations addressing global challenges, a showcase of award-winning researchers from the Chemical Society of Thailand (2024), industry product exhibitions and sponsorship booths, hands-on workshops on micro-scale chemistry experiments, and excursions to key tourist attractions in Nakhon Ratchasima.
PACCON 2025 stands as a dynamic and influential event, bringing together the global chemistry community to drive advancements and shape the future of the field.
